Midway has decided to be the gun control themselves. They don’t care what your local laws say, if they are actually enforceable, or if they have been struck down.
Midway is going to make up for themselves what you can and cannot own, and will enforce their own, more restrictive version of gun control by just not shipping perfectly legal things to you.
On May 29, 2026, I purchased this rifle for approximately $4,000+ before tax. Shortly afterward, I discovered the identical rifle being offered elsewhere for around $2,500—a difference of roughly $1,500. As a customer, and especially as an active-duty U.S. Army service member who carefully researches major purchases, I found this price disparity shocking.
When I contacted MidwayUSA and respectfully requested an explanation or some form of price adjustment, I was informed that the company does not price match competitors and was offered a $25 gift card instead. A $25 gift card on a purchase exceeding $4,000 feels dismissive and does not meaningfully address a $1,500 price gap.
Customers should be aware that MidwayUSA’s pricing can be dramatically higher than competing retailers on certain firearms. Before making any major purchase, I strongly recommend comparing prices across multiple vendors, as doing so could potentially save thousands of dollars.
While MidwayUSA has every right to set its own prices, I believe this experience reflects poor customer value and disappointing post-sale customer service. I will be far more cautious about making large purchases from this company in the future.
What an absolute disaster.
They screwed up my address and put the WRONG city on it—would’ve cost me a week in delays if I hadn’t gone out of my way to intercept it at the post office. Completely unacceptable.
Then their “refund” process? Total nonsense. They actually expect you to CHARGE your card again before they’ll give you your money back. Who does that?! Tried four different cards—ALL flagged as suspicious by the banks. But yeah, they claim this is “normal.” It’s not. It’s shady.
Now they refuse to refund me properly or send a check—only offering store credit like I’m supposed to just accept it. No thanks. Feels like a scam to avoid giving real refunds.
This company is a joke. Seriously. Do not trust them with your money.
