Gun Place Corrections Policy

Gun Place is committed to correcting material factual errors promptly and transparently. Readers, sources, agencies, manufacturers, and other affected parties are invited to request a review.

How to request a correction

Email patric@gunplace.com with the subject line Correction Request – [Article Title]. Please include:

• The URL of the article.
• The specific sentence, claim, date, image, or other material you believe is incorrect.
• A concise explanation of the requested correction.
• Links or copies of reliable supporting evidence, preferably primary records.
• Contact information if you would like a response. Contact information supplied for review is not published without permission.

How requests are reviewed

Gun Place compares correction requests with the underlying sources and seeks additional documentation when necessary. A request does not guarantee a change, but substantive evidence will be reviewed in good faith. Editorial decisions remain with Gun Place.

How corrections appear

Material corrections are made in the article and may include a dated correction or update note explaining what changed. The article’s modified date is updated when a substantive revision is made. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or broken-link fixes may be made without a separate correction note when they do not alter the meaning.

Developing stories may be updated as court schedules, legislation, regulations, official figures, or other material facts change. We do not change publication dates merely to make old coverage appear new.

Removal requests

Gun Place generally corrects factual errors rather than removing complete articles. Removal or de-indexing requests are evaluated individually when supported by a compelling legal, privacy, safety, or ethical reason.
